We feel this type of scheduling will cause minimal disruption to your daily schedule and will provide efficiency in completing your dental care. When you make an appointment, please be sure that you will be able to keep it.
Missed appointments and late cancellations represent a cost to the practice, to you and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. Failed appointments can sometimes interfere with dental treatment and create unnecessary scheduling problems for other patients.
We strive to accommodate the appointment needs of our patients, and make every effort to keep on time for appointments scheduled.
Failure to provide us with 48 hours advance notice or failure to present for a scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation or no-show fee. Failure to notify us of changes of the length of the appointment or showing up to the appointment just to inform that you want to cancel or change the appointment will result in a cancellation or no-show fee also. This fee will equate to £60 per half an hour of clinical time lost. No future appointments can be scheduled nor can records be transferred without the payment of this fee. Additionally, if a patient is more than 20 minutes late without prior notice for a scheduled appointment, we will consider this a missed appointment and the cancellation or no show fee will be charged ( as described above). If you have any questions about our appointment cancellation and no-show policy, please feel free to ask us.
It is understandable that sometimes cancellations can not be helped due to illness or emergency and we will take all valid circumstances into account.
Our goal in communicating our cancellation and failed to attend policy is to avoid any extra charges being passed on to the patient.

Due to several missed appointments by new patients that require emergency treatment, the practice will now take a £50.00 non-refundable deposit over the phone before new patients attend the practice.
